A new website dedicated to the SkillELECTRIC competition – www.skillelectric.org.uk – has been launched by National Electrotechnical Training (NET).
SkillELECTRIC is the only industry skills competition that is aligned to WorldSkillsUK, which means that competitors who do well in the UK event have the opportunity to take part in EuroSkills and WorldSkills events across the globe.
The site profiles past competitors and event news, reasons to enter and competition resources. As the year progresses the site will be updated with news and photos from the regional heats, the Team UK selection process and the UK final which will take place in November.
NET organises the competition in conjunction with WorldSkillsUK and is supported by industry sponsors including the Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS), Scolmore Group and Edmundson Electrical.
Training providers and employers are now being encouraged to think about their best candidates to enter into the competition once the registration process opens in March.
