The centre will be running at a reduced capacity to ensure social distancing and government guidelines are adhered to. It is very important that candidates feel they are in a safe environment and feel comfortable during the assessment. Therefore, candidates will be given the option to reschedule assessments as necessary.

ETT is located within Ballymena Business Centre in Galgorm, approximately 2.5 miles outside the town of Ballymena. Candidates driving to the centre should use the back entrance to the Business Centre. This can be found approximately 400 yards after the main entrance to the Business Centre. Candidates should turn right at the sign for Galgorm Industrial Estate. Following this road will take candidates to the back entrance and the ETT Assessment Centre is the first building on the left.

Both train and buses are available to the main station in Ballymena. The Train station is approximately 2 miles from the ETT Centre.
There are regular buses that travel from Ballymena station to Magherafelt, these stop in the village of Galgorm. The bus stop in Galgorm is only a short walk from the ETT Centre. All candidates are asked to arrive by 8.30am to allow for single entry and registration at the Centre. Upon arrival to the Centre, the doors will be locked. We ask that candidates remain in their car and call 028 2565 0750 to inform staff of their arrival. If arriving by foot, candidates should wait in the carpark and call the number above. We would ask that candidates do not gather at the door to the Centre and observe the social distancing guidance clearly labelled outside the building.
Candidates will be informed over the phone when to come to the entrance door and will be asked to use the hand sanitiser before entering. A member of the team will unlock the door, registration will take place at the reception and temperature checked using a thermal bullet camera and a digital thermometer to enhance our safety screening and admission process.
A one-way system of travel will be in place from the point of arrival. The system will also cover the movement of candidates for tea, lunch and toilet breaks.
On the basis of our COVID19 risk assessment, we have ruled out the use of the canteen for candidates with motor vehicles. Provision of a safe space for non-drivers or those arriving on public transport will be available. Our position on this will be reviewed periodically.
The local village provides a good range of facilities that can be used including deli counters, a bakery, a Chinese takeaway and chip shop. These are within 5 mins walking distance from the Centre.
Candidates are required to complete a COVID19 Secure pre-screening questionnaire before arriving at the Centre. The requirement to complete the questionnaire is a pre-condition of admission to the Centre. This will be emailed to candidates to complete the week before their AM2 test date.
Candidates will be required to comply with the Centre’s COVID19 Secure procedures which include a thermal imaging temperature check on arrival, one-way movement, workplace distancing measures, hand cleaning, step-in step-out procedures, off-site breaks, use of PPE and other measures.
Candidates will be subject to thermal and/or digital temperature screening on each occasion of entering the Centre. Any personal data gathered on candidates will solely be used by the Centre to check for signs of COVID19. There is a kitchen in the AM2 Centre which includes a microwave, kettle and tea making facilities. A sandwich van visits the business park at lunch times, there is a shop less than a mile away. Sawston Village is just over a mile away and has cafes, takeaways, large shops and restaurants.
Hand sanitiser dispensers are installed upon entry to building and within the AM2 Assessment area. Kitchen areas and toilets have anti-bacterial soap and either hand dryers or paper towels. All equipment and workspaces are cleaned daily but there are also disinfectant wipes available for candidates wishing to clean their own equipment. Extra PPE such as masks and gloves are down to candidate discretion and the centre will not supply them or take responsibility for their use or cleanliness.

Unfortunately, the canteen is currently closed as we need to discourage delegates from gathering and sharing equipment. Therefore, we are advising candidates to bring a packed lunch to college, drinking water will be available as required. Safe social distancing break areas are available for apprentices to have breaks and lunch in a safe environment.
In order to maintain suitable health, safety and welfare measures, all training delegates are required to complete a Risk Assessment and Clinical Vulnerability Assessment prior to undertaking their AM2/AM2S assessment.
This will be sent with your assessment booking confirmation.
Please be aware that you will not be permitted to undertake your AM2 until this assessment has been completed.
Unfortunately, the canteen is currently closed as we need to discourage candidates from gathering and sharing equipment. Therefore, candidates should bring a packed lunch to college. Apologies for any inconvenience this causes.

We kindly ask for candidates not to travel to local shops during lunch breaks.
Outside benches are available for candidates to have breaks and lunch in a safe environment, however you must observe all relevant social distancing guidance when using these. It may be preferable for you to have your break in your car if possible.
Candidates will be sent a Candidate Medical Form as part of their assessment booking confirmation. In the case of an emergency during your assessment, we would require the details of your next of kin and any information regarding your health.
Please complete the form and bring with you on the day of your assessment, also be assured that any information shared on the form will be kept strictly confidential in line with General Data Protection Regulations.
Candidates will be sent full Terms & Conditions direct from the centre as part of the assessment booking confirmation.
Candidates must bring a recognised form of photographic ID with them on the first day of their assessment, this can a Passport, ECS Card or a driving licence.
Please bring your own safety boots, and ensure that suitable clothing is worn for working in a practical environment. Clothing such as shorts and flip flops are strictly prohibited. Failure to comply with the appropriate dress code will result in refused entry in the AM2 Test Centre.
Appropriate hand tools will be provided during your assessment.
Stanley knives are not permitted inside the AM2 Test Centre.
Storage Arrangements for Mobile Phones / Electrical Equipment
Smart phones, smart watches and other electronic transmitting devices must be handed in before the assessment startsor left in the candidates vehicle. If someone needs to contact you urgently during your assessment, they can call the above telephone numbers.
The devices will be stored in a secure area, a record book must be signed by the candidate and the assessor to confirm the handover.
Devices can be signed out (by both candidate and assessor) during lunchtime and/or at the end of the day. The assessments resume once devices are signed back in.

The Guildford AM2 centre is situated in the ‘Five Storey Block’ at the top of the college site, with spectacular views across Stoke Park and the City of Guildford. A lift is available to the 5th floor where the centre is situated.
Parking is available on site in the students car park which is adjacent and up the hill from the college on the same side of Stoke Road (opposite Recreation Road – assessor will exempt candidate from parking restrictions via iPad, providing the candidate supplies the appropriate number plate on arrival).
Coming up Stoke Road from the A25, the student car park is the first left after the college main entrance, at the mini roundabout with Recreation Road.
Public transport: Guildford train station is approximately a 20-minute walk away on Station Road and London Road Station Guildford is approximately 5 min walk away on Nightingale Road.
Accommodation: Premier Inn 5 min walk away, Travelodge approx. 15 min walk away. Plenty of smaller guest houses close by, please use the internet for details.
There is a canteen available in the main building where hot and cold food is available between 10am and 3pm. There are local shops within a 5-minute walk up the hill towards the town centre and there is a Waitrose supermarket approximately 10 minute walk away in the same direction (turn right at the lights heading into town).
Masks MUST be worn in communal areas around the college. Please follow the arrows throughout the building and try to maintain a 2m distance between yourself and others. Hand sanitiser is available throughout the college and in the centre itself. If you feel unwell, (particularly if you are displaying the symptoms of Covid 19), please inform your assessor immediately.

Our building is the first one on the industrial estate and next to UTS Tyres.
There are two reserved spaces for candidates and communal parking at the rear of the building.
Local Transport: Southport train station is a 5-minute taxi ride from the centre. Alternatively, you can change at Southport for Meols Cop Station which is a 3 minute walk to the centre.
Accommodation advice: Lots of local and cheap B&B’s are available as we are sited in a seaside town, however recommended chain hotels that are within a 5-10 minute drive of the centre are Travelodge, Lord Street, Southport or Premier Inn, Ocean Plaza, Southport.
There is an on-site kitchen which provides a fridge for storage of food. Also a microwave, toaster and hot water urn for hot drinks which are provided free of charge. There is a sandwich van that is adjacent to our unit providing hot food and drinks. There is also a local parade of shops within a 5min walking radius and a McDonalds within a 10min walking time.
There are also great break out areas for your use whilst you are on site including a chill out and TV viewing area on the mezzanine level.
The EFT EPA Centre operates a COVID-19 Operating Protocol based around risk assessments that have been carried out on the EPA centre. Candidates will be inducted to on arrival to the centre. This is to ensure we can maintain a COVID-19 secure environment for Candidates and assessors.
Temperature checks will be conducted on arrival to the EPA centre. Any candidate with a raised temperature classified as a fever will not be permitted to enter the EPA centre.
Any candidates who have symptoms or have tested positive for COVID-19 must not attend the EPA centre.
If a candidate is booked for assessment and falls ill with COVID-19 prior to the due date of attendance, they must call the EPA centre to inform the assessment team and options will be discussed for a rescheduled date.
PPE is available at the EPA centre and requirements will be part of the induction process on arrival.

As the AM2 centre is situated within the Gower College Swansea main campus, please ensure that you follow the instructions sent to you and go to the Hill House campus. If, for any reason, you enter through the main college then please follow the one way system that will take you over the bridge to the Hill House campus where the “Energy Centre” is clearly marked. If you have any problems then please phone one of the numbers above and they will direct you accordingly.
There is a big car park adjacent to the AM2 Centre. Please DO NOT park outside the main entrance of the building.

By Bus – Bus routes 29 and 39 from Swansea City Centre will bring you to Gower College Swansea.
By Train – By bus from the train station to The Quadrant, Swansea City Centre and then onto one of the buses above.
Due to the current restrictions the main restaurant is closed. Also, the canteen in the AM2 centre will not be open to candidates. There are local shops, delicatessens and fish shops situated locally that your assessor will advise you of. However, it would be advisable if you brought your own food and drinks and eat/drink them in your car.
In-house Covid-19 measures will be sent to you with your joining instructions. Gloves and face masks will be available within the centre. However, if any candidate wants to use a face visor then they would have to supply that themselves and inform the examiner prior to entry into the AM2 centre.
To adhere to Covid-19 guidelines, there will be various access and ingress routes throughout the centre. Please follow the signs and any further information given by the examiner. PLEASE NOTE: failure to follow the guidelines could lead to your AM2 examination being cancelled. There will be an induction for all candidates prior to entering the AM2 room.

Risk assessments have been updated and safety measures will be gone through on arrival. Candidates will asked to read a checklist and sign a declaration on arrival. Posters as a reminder are displayed in the assessment workshop and kitchen.
We try to keep a friendly atmosphere but candidates must not talk to each other about the assessment nor engage in conversation or action that prevents any candidate from working. Abuse and threats towards other candidates and centre staff will not be tolerated.
