Re-sits of pre-April 2010 AM2

Mobile Assessment Unit Image

NET’s mobile assessment unit was introduced in 2009 to provide a solution to the issue of long waiting times for assessments in particular areas at times when demand has become high.

It supports fixed centres by partnering with them to give them the additional capacity to assess a higher volume of candidates when required. The unit can also be booked by companies and other industry organisations or initiatives where immediate or high volume testing is required.

Nationwide re-sits of pre-April 2010 AM2

The mobile assessment unit is available for retakes of the old AM2 assessment (full or sections) until September 2010. It will be travelling to a number of locations in England and Wales during this time to provide local access for candidates nationwide. Candidates who have failed one or more sections of the AM2 assessment prior to April 2010 and who have not yet re-sat are advised to contact the mobile centre operator, GTEC Training (details at the bottom of this page) to book a re-sit.

Specification

The mobile centre is currently kitted out to the industry standard of the old AM2 assessment (pre April 2010), and has a total of 6 installation and fault-finding cubicles and all the necessary assessment materials and tools.  It also has its own power generator, toilet and kitchen so if necessary it can be operated in isolated areas.

Hi-tech equipment and design means that the assessment centre measures just 2.3 metres wide whilst on the road, but when  stationary uses powerful hydraulics to expand to a width of 4.6 metres to replicate a college classroom.
