Carolyn Mason has been appointed Chief Executive of NET.
She takes up the position after two years as Head of Education and Training at the Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) – a role she will continue to carry out alongside her work with NET.
As Chief Executive, Mason will work with NET’s staff to develop the charity’s portfolio of assessments and ensure its current assessment offering continues to reflect the needs of the industry’s employers.
Alex Meikle, NET Trustee and Director of Employment and Skills at the ECA, said: “Carolyn’s extensive experience in the world of education and training will be a huge asset to NET and the industry it serves. I’m delighted she has agreed to take on the role in addition to her ECA duties.”
Carolyn Mason said: “End point assessments and assessments of occupational competence play a crucial role in ensuring that anyone looking to work in skilled industries like ours has the aptitude to do so. I’m determined to build on the work done to date by NET to ensure the assessments the charity administers continue to offer a high quality, robust assessment of the competence of those seeking to work in our industry and its specialist subsets.”
